Mayci's 1st Valentine's Day

Man where does the time go? Mayci is changing so much, she is eating cereal with a spoon, attempting to drink from a sippy cup, sleeping less during the day, talking, squealing, etc. She is growing, still in about 3 month clothes although she is 21 weeks(5 months, 1 week) tonight. She is still in size 1 diapers...I like her being petite so no complaints about size from me! She can roll over now, however she doesn't always like to be on her tummy so we are working on that more.

We have now all 3 had the stomach bug that is going around everywhere. Mayci was still the happiest baby...I give her props because Casey & I were pitiful when we were sick with it. All seems to be fine now thank goodness. We are off Monday so definitely looking forward to the 3 day weekend...going to Stephenville to visit Rush and watch some Texan Basketball!

Mayci & Rush

We went to Stephenville last weekend to see our new nephew and Mayci's new cousin Rush. He is so small, although he is bigger than Mayci was but I already don't remember her being so tiny! Tears...ok I am better now. It was quite entertaining trying to take pictures of a newborn and a 4 month old but we sure tried! I will post pics at the end.

So Mayci is jabbering like crazy these days. She is holding her own bottle, been doing that for a little while but she is finally getting the hang of it. She is drooling so much...hope there is a tooth coming soon. We have started giving her cereal in her bottle, I plan on starting her eating some with a spoon this weekend so hopefully that goes ok. She absolutely loves taking a bath, can't wait till this summer and we can take her swimming! We work on tummy time...she hates it. Casey says she isn't going to learn how to crawl if she isn't ever on her tummy...maybe she will just skip crawling and go straight to walking however, I am not ready for either of those! I need to take some new pics of her and post them but for now here are the ones of her and Rush and some individuals also.

New Nephew: Rush Christopher Reisman

Rush made his appearance into the world on Tuesday, January 26th @ 5:32pm. He weighed 7.96 pounds and was 18.5 inches long. The new family is doing wonderful...here are some pictures of him...we are going to Stephenville today to see him and just can't wait!

Mayci 4 Month Check Up & Shots

So yesterday was Mayci's 4 mo check up and of course the dreaded shots! She weighed in at 12.15 pounds and was 24.24 inches long. She is ranging around 40% for both. Dr. Kastner said we can start cereal if we would like as well as baby food. Mayci did pretty well with the first shot, just cried a tiny bit but then the second one was another story, her face was SO red...I felt horrible. Casey had to work so I was solo with her as well. She was laying in my lap when the nurse gave her the shots so she looked at me like "Why did you do that Momma?". Next time I will lay her on the table so she doesn't think it was ME! The rest of the day was ok, she had one more crying fit, maybe the Tylenol wore off? I gave her a warm bath like usual and I think that helped with the soreness because she went right to sleep and stayed asleep till about 7 am this morning. Here are some pics from before we went back and of while we were waiting on the doctor...she had to be stripped down so that is why she is just in a blanket.

Mayci's First Christmas & New Years

Whew! The holidays were crazy, we traveled everywhere it seemed but had a wonderful time. We went to Mississippi, Mayci's first trip over 2 hours and she did GREAT! It was exciting to get to show her off to my grandparents and family that hasn't met her yet. After MS we went to Star and had a big Christmas there where Mayci went to her first MOVIE! We saw Sherlock Holmes, she slept which was nice. After Star we went to Stephenville and had a WHITE Christmas, Mayci wasn't really in a good mood that day so the pics aren't so great. For New Years Eve we went to the movies yet again to see Avatar which was good and she slept during it as well. I am back at work so Mayci is back at the sitter which is going ok, for her not me, I hate it! I will bring my card tomorrow and post some new pics for you all to see!

Thanksgiving, Check Up, Etc.

Mayci's first thanksgiving was wonderful, she got to spend it not only with family but with the Tarleton men's basketball team...there was TONS of yummy food, none of which she got to have but Casey & I sure made our mark. I have some pictures that I will post of her for you all to see...she slept through lunch which was sort of nice because it gave me a chance to eat!

So I started back to work yesterday...BOO HOO! It is going okay, Mayci is doing GREAT with Mrs. Yolanda, her sitter...way better than myself! I cried all day Sunday just not wanting the day to end.

Mayci is still changing every day...cooing & smiling. It is so crazy how the time has flown, it is already DECEMBER! We put her in her bumbo last night...she looks small but did a great job holding her head up, must have gotten tired after a little bit because she go fussy. I took a picture with my phone from across the room so it is a little blurry but you will get the idea. Now that I am back at work I should be able to post more often.

Oh, Mayci went for her 2 month check up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. She weighed 9.9 lbs and was 21.75 in long. She had to get 3 shots but did so great, I think I cried longer! I have to say I am getting a little sad because she is outgrowing her newborn outfits, just in length...time to box them up!
